EE On Linux

Post by roy »

Hi All,
Anyone working with PX on linux?
I need some info for potential pit-falls,
I might need to migrate from solaris to linux so any other info you think is good to know would be apreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Roy R.

I have used PX running on Linux and it runs very well. I have heard that you can have longer installation times on Linux as you need to install some libraries that are missing on a standard Linux install but that are default components on Solaris. Can't help you with any details though! :(

The last two times DataStage EE class was presented here it was on a cluster of four Linux machines. No problems at all, except for the odd one between the keyboard and the chair.
