How to migrate user-defined environment variables

DataStage 7.x comes with a function in the Administrator tool that lets you create user defined environment variables for a DataStage project. I like this feature for managing certain parameters but I don't like having to add them manually for new projects. Does anyone know how to copy these parameters between projects?

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried, but it didn't work! I switch across to that thread.
