What have you tried? Do you have the spreadsheet on the DataStage server in a delimited format like csv or is it still an xls file?

I will be getting excel through mail and I convert it to csv and put it in datastage server. So I can say that CSV file will be available in Datastage server as source.

Once you know the format of the CSV create a source-to-target mapping specification and base your DataStage design upon that.
