On all of our AIX DataStage LPARs we have functioning environments with no visible problems. Nevertheless, I've just seen that there are problems with the orchadmin command that I cannot narrow down and was hoping that someone here might have seen similar issues and might be able to assist.
After running the dsenv script and setting the environment variable APT_CONFIG_FILE to a valid configuration file, I can run orchadmin check and get valid output. But if I try any of the orchadm describe options on any of the datasets on the system I get an error output:
$ orchadmin ll CodeTable.ds

##F IIS-DSEE-TFOR-00003 10:09:43(002) <main_program> Fatal Error: Unsupported outputDS arg: 0; number of output ports: 0.
I highlighted the "Unsupported outputDS" since that part of the message is common to every dataset that I attempt to display. Since the Director -> Dataset Management tab also uses orchadmin under the covers it doesn't work, either. The datasets that I've tried to access with orchadmin are perfectly legible and writable from jobs, so they are in order.
I've also opened up a call with IBM support but haven't heard back from them in days, so I am going through DSXchange in parallel.
