Database Partition Function

Hi Expert,

I need help!.

DataStage = 8
Db2 = 9
OS = AIX 5.30

We have installed DataStage version 8 in application server with Metadata Repository - db2 V9 in database server.

Since the default DB2 is limited usage and we need staging database so we have obtain DB2 EE server license from IBM and installed as different instance in db server as db2inst2 (the same server Metadata Repository located which is db2inst1).

The new db2 instances we installed as Single Partitions. We were not aware that the DB2 UDB Enterprise Stage require Database Partition Funtions.

Now i am trying to upgrade the db2inst2 instance for Multiple partition instance. When i run the ./db2setup and trying to select the "Configure new function for and existing DB2 instance" i only able to see db2inst1.

Why? I have only 1 das user running for this both instance. How do make the installer see db2inst2?

Please advice.
