Metadata Repository - Oracle or Db2?

Post by kartheek82 »

HI,

Environment : Infosphere Information Server 8.5
Os : Windows 2008

We have to advise our client on choosing the right database for Metadata repository.

Looking for your guidance here and knowing the benefits of Oracle over DB2 or vice versa.

Will there be any support issue from IBM if Metadata repository is Oracle here?

Regards,
Kartheek

IBM won't care and there's no advantage, one over the other. Choose whichever you are familiar with and have the ability to support.

It can even be Microsoft SQL Server.
