DsSort Space Clearing

Post by martin.pas »

Today I gave manually cleared the sort space. (Files created by Lookups etc. )There were files in there more than 3 months old.

Is this supposed to be done manually or is there some process that should clear the files?

It should be self-cleaning. Are the files that are left over from runs that aborted?

Thanks!!

I suppose that is the case (aborted) 'cause the jobs that ran successfully today didn't leave a file

I'll keep an eye on the space as we continually have development jobs that fail due to lack of space

The moral of the story is to strive to write jobs that don't abort.
