Currently we are using Datastage 7x Server edition which is in Unix/Solaris enviorment.

We would like to Migrate to a new version 8.x or above.

Can anybody tell me, is there any documention avaialbe which will help me to understand the steps I need to take, frequently occuring issues, known problems, importnat ares to conentrate etc.

Hello and welcome to DSXChange.

Generally an upgrade of DataStage will not have significant issues and problems; but with Version 8 the product has become somewhat more complex and the Information Server has been added.

Version 8 ships with PDF documents describing the upgrade process.

Take a backup first. Export your projects. Do it twice!
