We are working on a process to report (weekly) on input and reject row counts from jobs. The process involves shell scripts calling the dsjob command, manually created job files which contain the job, stage and link names to be reported on (used as the dsjob parameter values), a table which stores the results, and an excel file which presents the row counts for each job as 'Records In' and 'Rejections'. This could all eventually be a maintenance nightmare as jobs evolve, link or stage names change etc.

My questions are these: Is there a tool in the suite that will enable us to satisfy such reports? Is MetaStage capable of providing this?

MetaStage is capable of generating this kind of report. The process metadata (row counts, etc.) are captured automatically when the job runs and can then be transferred into the MetaStage directory automatically or manually, as you prefer.
