Welcome aboard. :D
When the file system on which the project is installed becomes full, or on which a hashed file exists becomes full, it is highly likely that some kind of corruption has occurred as an update has been taking place. This is not that easy to diagnose - search the forum for uvbackup for probably the easiest method.
Once you have determined whether any hashed files or indexes have become corrupted, you may need to effect repairs. Post back here (or search some more) to get help on techniques.
