Hello Arunkg,

The error

is pretty imprecise and we can't do much to help you there.

How are you shutting down your Windows server; does the shutdown process show any problems? You could also try to go into the control panel and use the Ascential DataStage applet to stop the processes priot to shutdown.

Well, first let's define what 'system' means and what exactly you are reinstalling every day. Are you talking about your Windows based DataStage Server - or the Client software on your individual PC you use to connect to it? Arnd is going for the former, I've got my money on the latter.

Regardless, nothing should require you to reinstall either piece every day. The clarification noted above and the entire text of the error you are getting will help tremendously.

Your assertion that you have to re-install DataStage is probably based upon an erroneous premise.

Perhaps what you do need to do is to install the DataStage components properly. If you have done so, you can shut down and re-start the server as frequently as you wish. You just need to ensure that there are no DataStage clients connected or jobs running.
