Has any DataStage person experience with PDI/Pentaho Data Integration (http://kettle.javaforge.com), is it as good as DataStage, worse, why, ....?
For a new project we've kind of carte blanche on what to use. We got a price for DataStage of 350K USD for a Solaris environment startup, and Kettle of course is free (20K USD with full support).
What I do notice is that PDI is being changed every day, while DataStage remains more stable. And that the functionality is not 100% the same.
Any experiences?
