Hi there,

I have a very strange problem at the moment in which a Siebel EIM component I have (which I'm trying to use to do an export) seems to keep losing the column definitions. In other words, once I've loaded the column definitions (i.e. details), if I either flick between tabs or close and open the EIM component, the column info disappears?!

I've no idea why this is happening - I've hard coded all variables etc to no avail....!

I assume that you are performing Import > Table Definition > Sequential File

It is known and documented behaviour of this dialog that, when you switch back to the Format tab, any definitions you may have created on the Define tab are discarded.

After all, if you change the delimiter on the Format tab, the number of columns will likely change.

You must complete the Format process, then go to the Define tab and not go back. You can subsequently edit any aspect of the table definition once it is in the Repository.
