My experience is you can only READSEQ large files. We have some very large records in type 1 and 19 files and get the same error if you try to edit or list. -----Original Message----- From: Stevenson, Charles [mailto:Charles.Stevenson@getronics.com] Sent: Friday, October 19, 2001 9:42 AM To: u2-user...

I would run guide on your file INVOICE.SALES.STATS and delete and re-create the indexes. (Of course, repairing the file if guide reports errors). A similar problem appeared last month on September 8 when Unix timestamps finally reached 1000000000. Some programs truncate it to 9 characters resulting in the believe that its March 3, 1973. However, the only one Ive noticed so far is HPJetAdmin. >>> tpellitieri@centuryequip.com 10/19/01 08:01AM >...

Trying to move large files (64BIT) from a DEC alpha to HP and FORMAT.CONV ( fnuxi ). It fails. I get blink errors & "available memory exceeded" with bomb out of uv & coredump.

File type of /uv/catdir
Currently we are running Universe 9.4.1.1 on an IBM RS/6000 39h. We are going to be switching to an IBM RS/6000 F50 which will be running Universe 9.5.1.1D. I noticed that /uv/catdir is a Type 1 file (.Type1 is present). Question #1: Does the /uv/catdir directory have to be a Type 1? While in the pr...

order by clause
Hello everyone, we are on Datastage version 4.1 on an NT Server, using the ODBC stage as a lookup to a Sql Server 7.0 table. Its possible to get more than one row on a lookup, and I want to return the first row based on the order by clause. I cant seem to get the order by clause working, even when I...

Paul: Thats probably a very good analogy because the auto industry also has a huge segment of both suppliers and resellers that are typically much smaller in size than the "assemblers". However, in our own mdRDBMS industry there are actually VARs that are actually quite a bit larger than at least on...

We are up to 5.2.17 and have no problems with it on NT 4 or 2000. The only release we have had an issue with lately was 5.2.9 where looking at a variable in debug caused the session to freeze. So I would have no concerns about 5.2 over 5.1. Since you are on SB 4 I would also serious look at moving t...
