Just for interests sake, I have just been informed that our company will be migrating from the Unix version of Datastage to the NT version of Datastage. Do you really care if uvdlockd dies? All it does it cleanup orphaned locks on jobs, as well as stranded shared memory segments after catastophic job failures. We are running DataStage v4.11 on Solaris 7, and about every 2 weeks or so, the uvdlockd process dies. No event is logged in uvdlockd.log when it dies. Yes, it is. We have Datastage running on a seperate Unix server and update Informix and Redbrick tables on remote servers. If you are working with DS 4.1.x you should have a file named dsexport.exe Using suitable arguments (see help), you can use this program by command line in order to export DS Project.
