So? Have anyone provide them ("the relevant URLs")? Did I miss them? Kasia, You can find various PDF format Universe documents here m I think the most useful to a DataStage developer would be the UniVerse Basic And UniVerse BASIC SQL Client Interface Guide manuals. Hope this helps. -----Original Message----- From: Kasia Lewicka [mailto:katarzyna.lewicka@cgey.com] Sen...

Yes you have found an issue that has not been reported. After looking we have discovered that it is also doing this in 2.5.8 so will be posting a new version shortly and will advise when it is ready. Should be by the end of the day.

Ben DS jobs run as phantoms. The umask is sometimes not set from dsenv. It defaults to the UNIX umask. Most UNIX umasks can be defaulted in the kernel. Which means you will need to make a new UNIX. What machine are you on? All DS processes bypass the .profile and /etc/profile as well. So you cannot ...

Object Permissions

Hi everyone ...

We have error message when other developers attempt to execute the job. In the dsenv file, umask=002 and object seem to be created with permissions of 755 rather than 775.

What can I do to solve this problem ???

Thanks in Advance..

Ben :)

I have seen the stage icon images disappear in releases from 3.6 onwards when the client machine is running out of memory. You usually also get the usual warning message box from Windows about running low on virtual memory in this case. -----Original Message----- From: Yzelle De Wet [mailto:yzelle@c...

Heres what comes with 5.1

I know I was concerned, and the question has been raised on this list, so... for the benefit of anyone wondering what comes with their shiny new 5.1 upgrade, heres what I found out during the test upgrade of my test server. Version Control is included. The previous version of VC for 4.x required an ...

There is no mechanism in DataStage (up to release 4.2 - I havent played with 5.1) that allows you to define your own message class. You have available only Info, Warn and Fatal. -----Original Message----- From: Alexandre Stoulov [mailto:alexs@tern.ru] Sent: Thursday, 24 January 2002 00:39 To: datast...

Write your own job entry (Batch Control): Call DSLogInfo("BATCH STARTED: ": Oconv(@DATE,"D-DMY[,A3,2]"):" ":Oconv(@TIME, "MTHS"),"JobControl:MAIN") You can then parse the log for entries or write to a seq file and parse accordingly.
