Hi Chris, Ive done this already, but when I validate the job that contains the universe stage, it returns an error indicating that it requires a user id to connect. Now the only way I know of supplying that is by either using the UVNETID environmental variable or the SET.REMOTE.ID command and Ive tr...

You claim that the jobs "abort with error". What error message is in the job log? This will help us to diagnose the possible cause. It is likely, from your description, to be an inability to establish a connection, or that event number 0 cannot be found in the log file. As to performance, what do yo...

Job dont running

What could be ? We check in DS Administrator, and the flag "do not timeout" is active. We check the "&PH&" d...

One thing - the do not timeout setting in the Administrator is for *client* connections and shouldnt be an issue here. What platform are you running on? You may want to try stopping and restarting DataStage and possibly the server itself. Other than that, it would be necessary to have the exact erro...

I dont think it is the query which is the problem. One of the properties in your stage is wrong (pick any value on any tab - I have no idea which). Oracle is not returning this error, DataStage is generating it itself. -----Original Message----- From: ramesh pothuru [mailto:ramesh.pothuru@oit.state....

Thomas, To connect to a remote DataStage Server or Universe Database server, you need to edit the uvodbc.config file in the project directory. The config file contains instructions. Also, this must be done for each project from which you require the remote access. Regards, Chris Mueller -----Origina...
