Since thats now behind us (yea!), and works fine in DS 5.2, were now ready to enter the 21st century....

Brad, As a future development "Best Practice", anything that can change when you migrate from one environment to another should be replace with a Parameter. Actually V0S0 is a stage record, rather than a container record, but that doesnt take anything away from Kens analysis that something, probably space, has caused a problem with the DS_JOBOBJECTS hashed file. ----- Original Message ----- From: Kenneth Bland Date: Mon, 13 Jan 2003 12:30:50 -0800 (PST)...

Im running DataStage 5.2 on an NT Server. We have several jobs and a few routines which use sequential stages. The pathname for these files is usually something like: D:Proddatareadymaininput.txt or D:Testdatareadyspecial.txt etc. As you can see, the first part of the pathname after the drive letter...

This job is most likely irretrievably damaged. Youre going to have to go back to your version control and get another copy of this job,...

Starbucks is discovering one of my recommended best practices. DataStage allows users to create hash file in the default project. The hash file also has the capability to use an explicit directory path for locating the hash file. This allows you to map hash files into a foreign directory from the Da...
