You wont see this unless you have more than one input link into, for example, an ODBC stage. Its only when there are multiple input links that transaction grouping makes any sense. I suspect your job design has links feeding separate stages, which nonetheless connect to the same DSN. ----- Original ...

The appearance of the Euro character for NULL is the result of a combination of factors, the main one being internal representation if NULL (Char(128) in DataStage) and the Euro symbol (Char(128) in many clients). Also, the default behaviour of the Sequential File stage is to map "" to NULL (Char(12...

Its actually pretty simple to write some job control to do what you want. Look at DSGetProjectInfo(DSJ.JOBLIST) for one and then things like DSGetJobInfo to check status and DSRunJob with DSJ.RUNRESET to actually reset it. Of course theres a little bit more to it than that, as youd want to be carefu...

There are ALWAYS user groups, but there is an intermittent glitch that prevents the Administrator client (well, its agent process) from gathering them. Its been there since at least release 3.6. If you connect as a member of the local Administrators group, it should work OK. At worst, you can edit t...
