I think Ray nipped the evil in the bed. The hashed file should be created prior to its read.

I asked you to check for those env. variables in DataStage Administrator and not the configuration file.
Is this a new installation? Did you ever get a job to compile with transformer as part of the design?

Give different argument for different jobs (atleast for different tables) for the Key Management routines. This way you will not mess up the keys and confuse them. There are ways of updating the SDKSequences file and as advised, search the forum for more details. What I like to do is keep the contro...

Why dont you unload the keys and the columns of interest into a hashed file and do a lookup against a hashed file. This way all you need to do is connect the keys properly inside the transformer and not worry about binding variables in sql. You will get a huge performance boost as well. Just a thou...

If you are on the same server do dsjob -run. You dont have to worry about any ports. Search this forum for more details on exact syntax of dsjob command. If you think I have misunderstood your question then please explain.

Its the APT_COMPILER and APT_LINKER environment variables. Check in the datastage administrator for its values and verifty whether the compiler exists. Plus the error is also due to implicit conversion between data types. Use the appropriate data type function for the conversion.

Smells like interview questions. The functionality of all these stages and more are explained in detail in the pdf help files shipped with the product. And if you plan working on any of these products, I suggest taking DataStage classes offered by IBM.
