Topic: DataStage 8.5 32 or 64 bit application?

Again, depends. A 64bit O/S can run either and the application's behavior would be appropriate to its level of 'bitness'.

Let's cut to the chase - is there a specific platform you are wondering about?

A small example here.

A quick search revealed that "MonetDB comes with JDBC, ODBC, PHP, Perl, Ruby and Python interface libraries". Either of those first two can be easily leveraged by DataStage.

As noted elsewhere in this forum, I've been told in the past that the best email to use is "editor@dsxchange.net". (note that it is .net and not .com)

This might help. However, sounds like some kind of consulting may be required as I'd be surprised if a post or three on a web board could really cover all of the bases.

Could be wrong, I guess we'll see. I know there's some savvy grid peoples out there.

I don't know about anyone else but that tells me absolutely nothing and I prefer not to guess. Sounds like some kind of contest and I have no idea why an ETL tool would be involved in something like that.

Still looking for some of those pesky 'details'...

Re: Lucky Draw

Also, the most important problem is the same results for same customers by random function. OK. Instead of starting with your 'random' discussion, why don't we open the bidding with what exactly this means and what exactly it is you are trying to accomplish, the more details the better. I suspect t...

I'm curious why you're not just running this from the menu. The original poster was "writing a batch script to loop through some list of jobs and execute the diffapicmdline.exe command", what is your goal?

Once more - that command is part of the DataStage Client. The client only works on Windows. That Windows box is where you'll find the command. And that box will be the Citrix server.

Correct, that 'the following parameters were not mentioned' message can be ignored on a UNIX server. The fatal one, however, cannot.

Sorry but Moderators have no such power. All I can do is move you over to the proper forum. As in this one.

Probably wouldn't hurt to read the replies to some of the other people who have had your issue.
