:!: Be aware that the images below the linked image could be considered NSFW depending on what randomly shows up for you, so use caution. It's basically just six flat file sources, each with a transformer leading to a funnel.

No idea is Windows file system has any similar limit... I seem to recall only the ROOT directory on Windows having a limit on the number of files allowed there, otherwise (assuming NTFS) it is allegedly 4,294,967,295 files. Yes, one of them magic numbers. Actually I think that may be for the...

Hmmm... not really getting my question answered but that's fine. As noted, give it a shot and let us know what does or doesn't work out for you.

Technically it would go back to your 'Official Support Provider' which may or may not be IBM... it can depend on whom you got the software from. That vendor may be your official first line of defense for support. Hopefully someone there knows.

Pretty sure that's a question that will need to go back to support.

As noted, start with the error lines. The prefix on the lines lets you know what they are:

##I: Informational
##W: Warning
##E: Error

Can't help with specifics there, don't know DB2. However, it wouldn't be all that different from the Oracle example shown here, you just need to know the command line syntax for the DB2 equivalent.

Again - get the file names and then do what?

Worst case, as noted give it a whirl and see. If this is all O/S commands then there isn't any DataStage component size worry.

Simplest way would be to leverage the command line interface, say for instance sqlplus for Oracle. What database are we talking about?

Or you could search here for example usage of the BCI functions.

So how does the need to "list filenames" and "using cat command" go together? You need to loop through all of the files... and do what, exactly? Depending on what you actually end up doing, I suspect the limitation may be on the O/S side. For example, in UNIX you run into the dre...

How long did you wait before you decided it was 'stuck'? Each job that is being replaced must be deleted first so it will take much more time that an import into an empty project.
