previous i was using srvc_typ_cd_id<>'A' or srvc_typ_cd_id<>'Z' ...... This would have worked more better with an 'AND' between them, not an 'OR'. This expression gets you everything as not only are all other letters not equal to 'A' or 'Z' but 'A' is not equal to 'Z' (so it gets counted) and vice ...

For example, a sequential file containing filenames - read each record and run a job per record that loads that file. T...

...determine the values and pass it as hardcoded or as parameter. I know the Invocation ID and would like to do this. But I am not sure how. I should explain further - we are using the UtilityRunJob Routine Activity to call our parallel jobs. I'm sure there is a simple way to get the Invocation Id ...

Actually, generated SQL would give you a TO_DATE function with the mask that you noted. And as noted, simply tack on the zero time that the function requires if all you are getting is a date in the correct format.

Re: Trigger Parallel Jobs and define Invocation ID in a Sequ

I tried specifying multiple triggers from Job_Activity_1 that all use the same condition. In theory, the next three jobs should all fire at the same time. But according to the log in Director, they are occurring one after the other. I also tried inserting a Branch stage with one output link from Jo...

You need to set the Read Method to the option that allows a wildcard pattern.

Relicensing an expired license

Have a test server's license expire over the holidays on 1/1/2007 and now having a silly problem. I was able to go into the Administrator and connect (in spite of the fact that the license is expired, nice) and successfully re-licensed it with the permanent license. It tells me the changes won't tak...

Arnd is 'semi-retired' and tooling around on his new boat that he seems to be living on now. He said he would be off and on (mostly off) as he lived the Good Life cruising ports for Wild Women. Or he might be working down under... not really sure right now. We'll have to see if/when he resurfaces!
