I was thinking of going about it using the database. i.e. identify the records loaded last night (multiply the no of records with the bytes that each record takes.) What number of bytes - the full size according to the metadata? The Average Record Length derived from the data itself? Or by summing ...

Perhaps because Informatica does? :wink:

I've never found it all that useful, honestly, but it is shown in their monitor. Would also be curious as to the why of this.

:? That's... odd. You're actually telling it to add more message types to the log, that 2 adds DEBUG information on top of everything else. I would assume you need to go back to your official support provider for that one, seems patch-worthy to me. As an aside, in my current tool I've seen problems ...

You delete any unneeded files from the directory. And files there are only needed while the associated job is running.
