Ditch the first line.

You also don't need the Return as the routine will automatically return Ans back to the caller.

Only in a Parallel job, this is a Sequence job question. Yes, you could use them in a custom routine but it would be a little tricky as the date and time portions would have to be handled separately. I.E. separate them and then subtract two hours (7200 seconds) from the time portion. If it rolls bel...

How long does the source SQL with the max take to complete (not just start to return rows) outside of DataStage? That or you can add a transformer if you don't have one with an @FALSE constraint to the target dataset so no writes occur.

Why not detail what exactly was the "it" that you tried and what the result was that you actually received? People should be able to give more targeted help from there.

Don't have any direct experience with this but it seems to me it would be easy enough to create a small test job with a handful of columns and try this out for yourself. Then let us know.

What purpose is the "Join" serving? That seems to me to be a deal breaker with RCP...

<cough> You'll never be able to approach this with a csv target if you really need the two files merged into one file with 'two different worksheets'. That doesn't mean you couldn't create two different csv files and then macro up something in Excel to bring them in. I've seen discussions on this an...

Meaning Excel is the ultimate target, I assume. Since you are on Windows, investigate the use of the Excel ODBC driver to see if this is possible.

I've never heard of any such utility but since both are IBM products, perhaps this is something they have in-house and offer as a service. In exchange for a large sum of money.
