Looks like you are reading a report... what do you need to do with this? It seems to me you'll need to read this as one long string and attempt to parse out just the parts you are interested in.

Seems like you'll need to arrange to have the logs automatically exported after every run and put somewhere in this secured environment that people do have access to. Or perhaps loaded into a logging database or, as Arnd notes, emailed or otherwise delivered to the proper folks. The standard reponse...

You need a layout so you know what's what without guessing. What field delimiter is the file using?

Extensions can be fairly meaningless, where did the file come from? More than likely it's a sequential file and can be read with that stage, can you view it properly with vi?
