Should all be in the readme. And 8.0.1 came 'shortly' after 8.0, 8.1 was later. If you don't want to be a "beta tester" then in one sense you'll never upgrade... 8.1 is greatly improved from 8.0 but if you're still leery wait for 8.x to come out and then upgrade to 8.x-1.

If you have set them as $PROJDEF in the job and those values are correct for the project, then there's absolutely no need to 'set' or pass them to the job in any fashion. That's the whole point, after all. Unless you are trying to override the project default, of course... are you? To that same poin...

An Oracle version change? No, it really shouldn't. Will you be 'upgrading' the Oracle client on the DataStage server to match as well?

Ah... it wasn't clear you were talking about a single job, figured this was a more generic issue. Anyway, glad you got it sorted out.

What kind of 'pointers' are you looking for? Other than purge the logs or add more disk space? :?

What is your target field - a DATE or a TIMESTAMP? If the latter, what is the precision of the timestamp?

And there's no such thing as "Oracle native format" unless you're trying to say it matches the current NLS_DATE_FORMAT or NLS_TIMESTAMP_FORMAT for the target database.

Not that I know of, using csv files will get you separate spreadsheets, not worksheets. Perhaps using an ODBC driver for Excel???

Unlike PX, stage variables in Server aren't typed. And under the covers, everything is basically handled as strings until your target 'enforces' the data type. So, are you saying you calculate a value in a stage variable and then just assign that stage variable to the derivation of two different col...

Your user doesn't have permissions to create / overwrite a dataset in that location. The important bits are "Creation failed, permission denied".

Seems that way. Again, any space issues where DataStage is installed that you know of? Any idea what might have happened to start all this? Basically there's no rush to fix any 'corruption' until the root cause of the problem has been identified and resolved. And if for some reason you haven't done ...
