If you have set them as $PROJDEF in the job and those values are correct for the project, then there's absolutely no need to 'set' or pass them to the job in any fashion. Unlike PX, stage variables in Server aren't typed. And under the covers, everything is basically handled as strings until your target 'enforces' the data type. Seems that way. Again, any space issues where DataStage is installed that you know of? Any idea what might have happened to start all this?
