There you could run the proc via command line sqlplus, so yes. The question is - is there any output from the proc that you'd need to use in your job? Won't work there if so.

If you're talking about the 'Job Control' tab under Job Properties, that's not the right place to be doing this. As noted, use a Sequence job for this and conditionally start your job depending on the result.

If I had to guess - and I do - then I would think this falls into the 'just how they work' camp. Connectors are new and thus so is importing metadata via one. Perhaps there's a... wrinkle or two with the process? Would be a good thing to ping your official support provider about I would think, unles...

It's a named pipe so there's nothing to find, data wise. You get that, yes? And from what I recall it deletes it afterwards which is why you don't see it in the same location as the other files.

It doesn't generate a .dat file like it does for the .ctl/.log/.bad files, it streams the data through a named pipe instead.

Hard to say. So, this problem is only with one specific job? Saying 'unable to see anything' made it sound like it was a problem with all jobs. Are you able to run the job?
