IBM want you to send installation and defects through the beta support email rather then going out to forums as this is beta software and they need to know about the problems you are having.

Try just the following:

Empname= string_trim(Empname)

It should trim spaces by default.

Sorry Arnd, I just booked mine for Thursday! Had four Melbourne test sites to choose from and one of them had tests all Thursday. See the official IBM correspondence announcing the test in my latest blog.

Will blog on my success or failure in the exam tomorrow.

It should work but it can be difficult to get right and to migrate through environments. As KW suggests always go with the copy and paste of the password value from something like notepad rather then trying to type it in manually.

I think your could add to your resume "Uncertifiable DataStage Programmer". I would definitely need to study after getting a couple of the sample questions wrong. Am I the only person here who has never heard of dssearch?

Even if you could do it via the command line they can be tricky to get in and almost always need some manual manipulation of levels or formatting or syntax before they are imported successfully.

Both answers are right. Electronic data exchange can have an XML format, therefore the Real Time Integration pack will make it easier to receive data in real time in an XML format. The DataStage TX plugin will handle complex transactions that are beyond the DataStage flat data capabilities.

The search on this site is becoming increasingly hard to use as duplicate threads get added. I remember doing a search for things like mutex timeout and having twenty threads to wade through before finding the answer. I would like to see a button visible on threads that indicate an answer resolved t...

I don't think the exams are ready yet on the Prometric or Pearson web sites. It's hard to tell for sure, both sites have very poor catalog browse and search functions. On the Pearson site you cannot find out if they have the exam until you create a login, but you don't want to create a login until y...
