Do you have an ODBC driver for Excel? None ships with DataStage - you will have to obtain a third-party driver from somewhere. When you get that, read its documentation as to the location and name of its driver library, and construct your .odbc.ini entries from that.

I got a file which has only one column and one row. It has 10 lines of data. These statements are mutually inconsistent. If you are adding hard-coded text to the beginning and end, you could set up a Filter command in your Sequential File stage. Something like: echo Suresh && cat #MyDir#/#M...

No-one here called Plz as far as I am aware. Learn patience. DSXchange posters are all volunteers who post as and when they can, and usually only if they have something constructive to contribute. Did you read the thread linked to in Craig's post? Did you search for other solutions? There is even a...

Use a Column Generator stage on each input to generate an artificial key that you can use to join in a Join stage. This should be the row number perhaps qualified by the node number if you are thinking of parallel execution.

Please mark this thread as Resolved using the green button at the top of the page.

The parallel Transformer generates C++ code that must be compiled and linked, hence the need for a (licensed) C++ compiler when using this stage type.

That is correct. Clericals are only those whose aggregate weights occur between the two cutoff values. And you set these by inspection of the generated weights. It's an iterative process to get it "right".

I disagree. Sometimes it is needful to go back to correct spelling and so forth. What really should happen is that pradkumar should re-edit the original post and reinstate the questions that ought never to have been removed, and apologize. Otherwise we may have to start using pratkumar as his appell...
