Have you enabled inter-process row buffering? Try with more transformer stages, with no more than four or five reference inputs each.

Could it perhaps be "USA ^A ^A ^A ^A" ? "^A" represents Ctrl-A, or Char(001), or 0x01, however you like to represent byte values. Possibly these are meaningful within the SAP context? If you know that they are Char(001) you can use a Trim() function to get rid of them, if that's ...

You can customize what goes in to the logs, but I don't believe this is possible on a per-project basis. However, I have not ventured into that part of the Web Console for some time - things may have changed.

I meant local to the project, on the Engine tier, versus common in the Repository tier. Where the clients are located is irrelevant.

Assuming you set up your lookup rule to be "=", you are correct.

The Lookup stage also supports range lookups.

Use the DataStage Performance Analysis tool. It's on the toolbar of the Designer client.
