Yes. It is the first time connect to oracle.

Hi

First you need to configure your environment in order to connect. You need have entry in dsenv defining ORACLE_HOME,ORAHOME,ORACLE_SID
Have PATH, LIBPATH assigned for Oracle.

I am using window 2000 server environment, what is the configuration path I need to have entry in dsenv? Can you please show the example?

Hi Ksfun,
You should use the service_name of the DB in your tnsnames.ora file to populate the Remote Server field under the Connection of the Properties tab.
