xmeta got filled up, Cleaning Xmeta repository

Post by ajaykumar »

Hi Folks,

my Xmeta got filled up and users are not able to open the jobs and do any thing. The mount point
/dev/mapper/iis-home--db2inst1 20G 19G 0 100% /home/db2inst1

it is showing 100% fill, So how can we clean up the Xmeta and all the projects RTlogging is enabled. How to know what is writing into the Xmeta repository.

In all the projects the auto purge of job log was set to last 2 runs.

Please, how can we clean this xmeta?

Thanks in advance

Involve your official support provider.

You might try clearing the logs from Director.

But at some point you're clearly going to need to allocate more space.

While contacting your support provider as suggested, you might consider:

1) Is Information Analyzer in use? It will typically use the same database server as XMETA, but a different database (IADB). IA can use a lot of space in the db depending on the volumes and data being analyzed.

2) You show the mount point filling up. Have you checked for any process other than DB2 writing to the mount point, accidentally or not?

Hi James,

Thanks a lot for your reply,

ya we are using IA nut we created a different mount point for it

/dev/mapper/iis-home--db2inst1 20G 9.1G 9.7G 49% /home/db2inst1
/dev/mapper/iis-IADB 174G 40G 125 25% /home/db2inst1/NODE0000/IADB

when i check in the db2 side this table is using almost 850MG

LOGGING_XMETAGEN_LOGGINGEVENT1466CB5F

when i am trying to clear the rows i am getting sql state errors, may be its very full so i have to clear chunks by chunks.
