ADMU3011E: Server launched but failed initialization

ADMU3011E: Server launched but failed initialization

FYI - I experienced a problem starting WAS with a new install of IS and received the following error message:

ADMU3011E: Server launched but failed initialization.

This was a memory problem.

I engaged the official support provider and spent 17 hours chasing this problem. So I post it here in hopes that it will help others.

Solution: set data limit as unlimited with the command = >
ulimit -d unlimited

Afterwards WAS came up successfully.
