DataStage® Release: 7x
Job Type: Server
OS: Unix
Hi,

I am looking for a better way to do this task.

I have two tables (1 is main table which has details and other one table is summary) which has each 11 key columns as common.

I have join these two tables using these common columns and pull data pertaining to Detail table and Summary table.

Can it be done using hash file(hex) ???

Please help me.

Yes. Load the summary data into the Hashed file. Mark nall the 11 fields as Key. Do a lookup on the Hash file. And extract and join the rest of the fields.

What do you mean by "(hex)" in the original question?
