IPC,LINK COLLECTOR

Post by rafidwh »

Hi All,

Is it necessary that my DS server should be installed on a SMP or MPP if I need to use IPC or link collector stage. If not then then hiow the link partioner is partitioning its data and processing further.

Thanks in advance,
Saik.

MPP is automatically excluded since these are stages in server jobs, which can only ever run on one machine. SMP is not necessary either, because server jobs can run on uniprocessor systems.

If we can use link collector on uniprocess server then how could the data is partitioned an dprocessed as in parallel jopbs the partitioned data flows in nodes.

"Nodes" is a logical concept. Data are processed in parallel processes
