Run-time error '5' Invalid procedure call or argument

Post by Seya »

Hi ,

When I try to view the Datastage Director to see the logs , while the job is running. I get this error message "Run-time error '5' Invalid procedure call or argument " When I click "OK" the director crashes.
Why does this happen and please let me know if there is a solution to this issue?

Thanks in Advance!

Guessing your client install is corrupted unless this happens to anyone else as well. If it's just you, I would suggest a re-install of the client.

Check this out.

Run-time error '5' ocurred while trying to connect to a specific DataStage project via Designer and Director clients.

Is the error limited to a single project (or set of projects)?

Okay, good piece of information to know. Then as noted, your project (or projects?) have some level of corruption in them. Let us know if the tech note helps or not...

Just wanted to mention that I have got this problem in Director.
I recompiled the involved jobs and the error disappeared.
