Parallel job getting error message when try to open

Post by cpando1974 »

Morning

A strange problem has occurred when trying to open a parallel job, I now get the following error;

Unable to open the job
Failed to convert the object into its persistent form

Anyone else trying to open the parallel job gets the file is locked. Our DBA has looked into the problem and says nothing is open to disconnect.

Looking through this forum I am not finding anything that resembles this problem and searches on the web advise to increase the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) Heap, which has made no difference.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Chris

Perhaps the job has become corrupted. Can you export the job or do you also get an error message when doing that? With the export file, you can try to import the job into another project and see if the problem persists

This is an odd one.

Have you looked at the file permissions in your project path to ensure that you have group rw bits set properly for all of those objects?

I basically prefer to sticky bit the whole thing with dstage group.

sometimes copy the job in repository and open the copy can recover it. Other times not.
