DS 8.5 and DB2 10.5

Post by epolan »

Upgrading DB2 UDB to 10.5, although not officially supported with DataStage 8.5, there is no architectural difference between DB2 10.5 and DB2 10.1 (which is supported by DS 8.5). However, DS runs a check for DB2 level and fails with following error: "...dbversion: unrecognized version string: `SQL10059'...". Is there any way to bypass that check? Data Stage upgrade is delayed and client wants to test it if would work as a short term temporary messure.

There is no way to bypass this check. I had a customer recently with the same problem; they had to uninstall the higher version of DB2 and install DB2 version 10.1 (which they did from the Information Server installation software).
