DataStage® Release: 11x
Job Type: Server
OS: Unix
We would like to understand how an End to End Lineage in IGC works, mainly for OBIEE reports.

Let's say I have the following information available in IGC which was imported through IMAM.

Source Data: A Table and a corresponding view
ETL Process: A Datastage job that populates data in above table from a flat file.
OBIEE Model: A report that uses this View as a source.

Am trying to understand how Lineage works for this case.
I believe it should show Lineage as below:
Flat File -> Source Data -> ETL Process -> OBIEE Model

Unfortunately I don't see a link between the Data Source field and OBIEE Model field, though I can see both available and they are same.

I tried to import all metadata with all options available in IMAM but no luck. Am I missing something here? or any misunderstanding? please advise.

No problem. Break it down into two independent lineage research sessions....3 and 4 to establish DataStage.... and then 1 & 2 to dig into your reporting.... Once each connects to "the" table, t ...
