Its a system mismatch!
The second value is an unsigned 16 bit integer.
The first value is a signed 32 bit integer.
I am not sure what the implication of that is, but maybe it helps you to understand that the two systems are doing something incompatible --- old machines are notorious for defining words like "long" as anywhere from 16 to 64 or even 80 bits.
