Bulk-load problem

Post by tj_user »

Hi,
I wanted to use bulk-load method to insert data to DB2 database.
I set the write mode to "Bulk load" and "Bulk load to DB2 on z/OS" set "YES".
I have run job and received an error:
The 'Bulk load to DB2 on z/OS' property must be 'Yes' when loading to a DB2 server on z/OS. (CC_DB2Connection::getEnvironment, file CC_DB2Connection.cpp, line 1.078)

Could you explain me the info?

Regards

Is it case sensitive?

No, I mean the "Yes" response.

No-one in their right mind would craft an application like that, which is why I asked the question.

Hi,
Could you explain how to set up BULK-LOAD?
Need it some set up on server side and then on DB2 connector?

Rather than wait for someone here, better to call support and ask them what is going on and have them explain to you how to accomplish your goal. That is precisely the kind of thing you / your company pay them for.

Once you hear back from support ... do share what they have recommended.

Just a question - are you really doing a bulk load on a DB2 database running on the IBM 390 mainframe?

Yes, it is on the cards. Response that OP receives from support - would be helpful.

It takes considerable time and effort to approach support and supply all the artifacts that they need ... then also sometimes users "had no help from IBM", but other users may be able to help by sharing what they have learnt from their support vendor. ;-)

I'm assuming Arnd's question was meant for tj_user...
