Site slow today?

Post by chulett »

I'm finding the site to be painfully slow today and wondering if it's just me.

It's not just you. Over a minute per page load.

Yes - very slow. Something's definitely killing the site.

It was slow yesterday also, and I saw a few php database error pages instead of the home page loading at all.

That can happen if you try to connect at the time that they're backing up the database.

I sent a text message to Dennis. Not certain what's going on, but it is still slow.

Maybe Dennis needs to get a new generation of younger hamsters to run in the treadmill.

Still slow... and there were a couple of times over the weekend when it was unreachable.

It is slow over here on the continent as well. Perhaps we should feed the server 220V rather than the mere 110V it gets over in the USA...

220, 221... whatever it takes.

Fun part is, even if your initial connection times out and 'website cannot be displayed' is all you get, it has still marked you as having visited at that time so all of your unread posts are lost.
