As per the instructions page on IBM site,

www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21620814

I ran the command

UpdateSignerCerts.bat -v -h <hostname> -p <portnumber>

But even that did not resolve my issue

Output of this command is as follows

C:\IBM\InformationServer\ASBNode\bin>UpdateSignerCerts.bat -v -h aud4106l.unix.anz -p 9443

You have posted potentially sensitive data, depending on your organization's security policy, such as your server's host name, your client's machine name, your user name, etc.

Anyhow, the technote says to "update the certificates in WAS and then run UpdateSignercerts on all Information Server systems, services tiers, engine tiers, and include all client tiers." It may help to go through the steps in that order and do the client tier last, although the original technote error does not match yours. If that does not resolve it, contact Support.

The issue went away after a fresh install (on client tier only - since this issue was faced only by me) and subsequent steps listed below. These steps were done as per instructions given by the official support provider.

All these steps were done only on the client tier. No changes were made on Engine or WAS tiers

1) Modify the file
C:\IBM\InformationServer91\ASBNode\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.isf.client/sas.client.props file as below,
From
com.ibm.CSI.performTransportAssocSSLTLSRequired=false
com.ibm.CSI.performTransportAssocSSLTLSSupported=false
to
com.ibm.CSI.performTransportAssocSSLTLSRequired=true
com.ibm.CSI.performTransportAssocSSLTLSSupported=true

Note: prior to modification backup the original file and rename it.

2) Create empty https.conf file in IIS91client_install_home\ASBNode\conf.

3) Open DOS command prompt and CD to IIS91client_install_home\ASBNode\bin
Run UpdateSignerCerts.bat -v -h <services_tier_hostname -p <https_port_number>

4) Modify the following in IIS91client_install_home\Version.xml

Modify ports from 9080 to 9443
<PersistedVariable encrypted="false" name="is.console.port" persistent="true" readonly="false" value="9443"/>

Modify is.https value from false to true
<PersistedVariable encrypted="false" name="is.https" persistent="true" readonly="true" value="true"/>

Note: prior to modification backup the original file and rename it.

Restart the client tier machine

I wonder how many enthusiastic individuals they catch with "prior to doing the above, do this" not appearing until after the pertinent instructions!
