Failed to connect to Information Server Engine (80011)

Post by praguur »

Hi All,

I have installed the Data Stage 8.5 on windows 2003.

With the help of below link, I have created User.

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocente ... Susers.pdf

But while login, I am getting below error

Failed to connect to Information Server Engine: <<server name>>,project: <<project name>>.

(User name and/or password incorrect. If credential mapping is used, check the credential mapped user name and password are correctly configured (80011))

Please suggest me how to resolve this issue
Thanks and Regards

Have you tried telnet 9080 from your client to the server?

You can probably log in using browser-based clients, but not to DataStage.

80011 is an error from the DataStage RPC mechanism. It suggests that you have not set up the Engine credentials correctly in the Web Console for Information Server.
