ASCII Data -Cobal Copy book

All,

I am trying to extract the data from .dat file. I am getting ASCII Data file from Mainframe and it contains 7 records.I am unable to view 3 records.

I am using below selections in Complex Flat File stage in PX
Record Type : Fixed
Data Format :Txt
Characterset :ASCII

Can you explain me what are all the steps i have to do ...

Are all records of same format ?
