If anyone remembers just a couple weeks ago, the ever growing size of our membership, the quantity of your posts was finally overwhelming the existing server configuration. Members were constantly being ‘timed out’ as a result of the overworked and underpowered server.

Hopefully, that is a thing of the past. Recently we have upgraded the server to handle the current member volume, as well as host the upcoming set of videos from the DSXchange Learning Center. 2008 will be an exciting year for our membership. We are looking forward to a new site, new members, and new sponsors with new offerings.

Thanks for your continued support,

Dennis James

Noticed a difference, thanks for the effort.

Still getting the occasional timeout in posting.php- it seems to be taking forever to generate the "you have gained 173289 points for this post" message, and the browser times out waiting for it.

The post gets through, though (then again, so did the Pony Express).

As noted - way more better, but not solved yet. Still seeing double and triple posts.

Crying or Very sad

I guess it's not all about how much power you have. This morning was really bad - probably 95% of the posts I made 'stalled' at the posting screen. If I've gotten three or four boxes into the status bar and it's still sitting there, I click 'Stop' and then click the Forum header to avoid double-posting. Had to do that over and over this morning. [sigh]

ps. Huh, this one went bang straight in. I'm assuming the forum volume plays a major role here...

Having major problems posting again in the main forums again. Evil or Very Mad

Now, if it 'stalls' and I click stop after 3 or 4 or 5 bars, my post doesn't seem to be there. The 'outside' view doesn't show the reply count as increased or me as the last replier. However, if I check inside, there I am - in one case 5 times. This after waiting what seemed like minutes for the posting to complete.

Then, to top it all off, I went to delete the four duplicate posts and it stalled again, eventually crapping out with a browser error. Now when I go back to try again, the entire post/thread is missing. Gone. What the?

What a pain in the ass.

ps. Timed it - these double-posts took three and a half minutes to post, and that ended with IE crapping out again:

"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

I wonder how long this will take?

It's still highly variable, but always in posting.php
