No RTI INPUT and RTI OUTPUT STAGES

Post by trainee9999 »

Hi All,

We have DS Server edition 7.5.1x installed on Windows server 2000 along with XML and Webservices PACKS. When we installed all SOA PACK components such as RTI Agent, RTI Server and RTI Console we are not finding any new stages in the Real Time Pallette other than XML and Webservices stages. Can anyone please suggest a cause or solution.

Verified all installations of all the components, there is no sign of error messages in the logs.

Thanks in advance.

Are they there in the Stage Types branch of the Repository? It may be that the Palette is not being refreshed. It may also be that the DS_STAGETYPES table needs to be reindexed (the command is DS.REINDEX DS_STAGETYPES).

Otherwise it may be that you need to install the stages from the package into projects, using the Package Installer.

Nothing is enabled or disabled based on the installation of the RTI Console. Pretty sure the same can be said for the RTI Server component. Sure, things won't work without it but you should be able to 'RTI Service Enable' a job and add the stages to one without it installed and working. Just don't try to deploy anything.

Once the RTI Agent installed, I don't know any reason why the RTI stages wouldn't show up in the palette. When the RTI Agent isn't running, you can't 'RTI Service Enable' a job but you can still should be add the RTI stages to any job you choose.

Double-check your install. Worst case, call Support.

Thanks for the response Ray. we do not have these stages in the stage types folder of the repository tree. Per the admin guide the install, the RTI stages should get installed once we install the RTI components. We are trying to install them using Package installer if they are available.

Also in the job properties window we are not finding the option to ENABLE RTI services.

Do you see any other reason for this scenario.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Then, in spite of what you have stated, you have not successfully installed the RTI components.

Confirms it.

And the 'package installer' should not need to come into play here as it's not normally part of the installation process. Double-check your work. If you can't find an error or a reason for the continued failure of the installation - contact Support.

Thank you Craig. I found some content related to this in different thread.
We are reinstalling the server as we need to provide RTI agent authorization code that we have not provided during the RTI agent, RTI Server and RTI console installations.

Once we are done with that, hopefully it will be resolved.

Thanks,

 Doh! I forgot about that little sticky point... and it certainly is a very necessary step. Sounds like you should be fine after that.
