Warehouse Architecture and Modelling Section

Post by gateleys »

I wish DSX would be extended to a ONE-STOP site providing discussions/queries placeholder for not only DataStage, but Datawarehousing, in general. For example, many of us have questions/opinions regarding warehouse architectures and modelling of certain (often complex) scenarios. Books by Kimball (and in some cases Inmon) have been a great resource in that direction, but it would be great if DSXchange reserved a forum for Architectures and Modelling.

Apart from that, DSXchange has been of tremendous help.

Thank you.

Good idea. Why not a QA section as well?

Also need forums for new products in the next release: Federation and Replication servers. Formerly part of the DB2 suite, soon to be part of the Information Server.

Perhaps the another General forum out of Datastage. Or New DataWarehouse forum for gateleys option.
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'
