In a mainframe job I want to create a temporary table,
Is it possible?

No idea... perhaps you should post over in the PX or Server forums. I'd also suggest you include a wee bit more detail when you post over there.

Hi

Yes you can create temporary tables in mainframe Environment. Can you be a little more specific that what exactly is purpose of creation of temporary tables in mainframe environment.

Formal procedures at that site may prevent you from creating temporary tables; you may need to request the DBA to create a table for your use. And with that, the request, justification, walkthrough, budget, and so on.

I don't believe you can issue a CREATE TABLE statement from a Relational stage, but it may be possible from an External Target or External Routine stage; you would, of course, need to create the routine that executes the DDL statement.
